Step 4 of 6
Entity & brand signals in copy
Engines can’t cite what they can’t identify. Resolution — the join from a name to a known entity node — is what makes a mention land on you instead of on some other “Acme Co.”, and the moves that make you resolvable (stable naming, KG presence, sameAs schema) are a different toolkit from the moves that make you authoritative.
What to read for this step
- Entity Recognition Wiki
- Brand Mentions Wiki
- Knowledge Graph Presence Wiki
After this step, you should be able to answer
- How does an AI engine decide which 'Acme Co.' a mention is referring to?
- Why are author bylines, company names, and product names a stability problem more than a creative one?
- What does presence in Wikipedia or Wikidata actually do — and what does it not do?
