Platform Optimization Intermediate
Step 6 of 7
China majors
A China-facing audience moves the whole optimization question into a different building. Baidu, Doubao, Kimi, and DeepSeek don’t share crawlers, retrieval architectures, or content norms with the western majors — and translating a western GEO playbook into Chinese is not the same as building a posture for these engines. The optimization work is real, it just stops looking like the same work.

After this step, you should be able to answer
- Which of the four has the scale that actually matters for your audience — and which are still niche?
- What are the access requirements: hosting, ICP, robots, and which of these are real gates vs nominal?
- Which of these engines actually cite sources, and which only mention them by name without attribution?
