Anti-signals: AI detection and freshness

The honest framing is that engines aren’t detecting AI use; they’re detecting low-effort, scaled patterns, and humans hit those patterns plenty on their own. The fix isn’t to avoid AI assistance; it’s to keep the textures that distinguish a considered draft from template output, and to keep freshness signals tuned so the work doesn’t read as stale on top of templated.

After this step, you should be able to answer

  • How does an engine actually detect AI-generated content — and what does it detect, really?
  • Which template-like patterns trigger down-weighting even when a human wrote them?
  • How do you use AI assistance and still keep the signals that distinguish considered work from template output?
